World Green Infrastructure Awards 2026 Open for Nominations until May 31st

Nominations are now being accepted for the World Green Infrastructure Awards 2026. Awards will be given for 9 categories: green roofs, green walls, green neighborhoods, policy, academic work, student posters, innovative living systems, unintended greenery and green infrastructure champion.

Last year NFGI recruited and assisted with nominating Norwegian projects for the awards. The Økern Portal project in Oslo was awarded the World Green Infrastracture Award 2025 in the Green Roofs category!

The iconic farmhouse in Hemsedal Norway was awarded honorable mention in the unintended greenery category.
